AJE is pleased to share these two summer opportunities for DC Youth –
Call for Applications: Words Beats and Life (WBL) Summer Music Academy – July 29th – August 30th
|
The Words Beats & Life Music Production Summer Academy is a pre-vocational summer Hip-Hop program primarily for youth ages 14-23 in Washington, DC. We engage students interested in Hip-Hop culture by cultivating excitement for learning in our non-traditional classrooms. This is accomplished by promoting Skillset Mastery in the artistic elements of Hip-Hop, which include DJ’ing, Video DJ’ing, Beat Production, Radio Production, and Podcasting.
Each week students will participate in field trips to creative communities. Students will also create original artwork to be showcased and sold at our weekly Chinatown Block party.
