On October 21, 2014, Advocates for Justice and Education, Inc., (AJE) submitted comments to the D.C. Office of Human Rights on the Proposed Rulemaking and addition of Chapter 15 Youth Bullying Prevention to Title 4 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR). AJE serves as a member of the Mayor’s Youth Bullying Prevention Task Force and has been instrumental in ensuring that the District addresses bullying concerns in schools and communities. In 2010, AJE brought together students, parents, educators and community advocates in the District of Columbia for the first time to raise awareness of bullying prevention, promote bullying prevention policies and access to supports for students experiencing bullying. AJE held its 1st Annual 5K Walk and Roll Against Bullying in October 2010 which attracted more than 130 students, parents and community advocates.
