OSSE Transportation Case Updates

AJE would like to share with our families the latest OSSE transportation litigation update (here is the previous one in case you forgot):

Court Update

The court held a hearing on the District’s partial motion to dismiss (MTD). While the court has not yet made a ruling, it’s important to note that DC did not request a full dismissal. This means that regardless of the court’s ruling, case will continue for now. Both the Motion to Dismiss and the Motion for Class Certification are still pending.

Amicus Brief Filed by Friendship PCS

Friendship Public Charter School has filed an amicus brief, emphasizing that transportation challenges continue to create significant obstacles for their students and disrupt school operations. The brief included hundreds of pages of communications from OSSE, documenting the widespread and ongoing issue of bus delays.

Mark Your Calendar: Status Hearing

A status hearing is scheduled for December 18 at 10 AM in Courtroom 29 (US District Court for DC). Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
