AJE is excited to share with families that the D.C. State Board of Education has opened applications for the SY24-25 Student Advisory Committee (SAC). The SAC serves as the voice of students in the District, addressing issues such as school safety and learning standards in DCPS and public charter schools. Students on the committee share feedback, vote on resolutions, interact with State Board members and other officials, earn community service hours, and more! Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors passionate about using their voices to increase equitable opportunities for all students in the District are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is June 15.
