AJE wants to let families know about the new evaluation center for Early Stages at Ron Brown College Preparatory High School, 4800 Meade St NE. This location provides convenient access to families living in eastern DC. It is walking distance from the Deanwood metro station and near multiple bus lines. The new center replaces the 4058 Minnesota Avenue location, which is now closed. This center is larger and provides a welcoming environment that can better serve more families.  

Early Stages is a free program of DC Public Schools (DCPS). We provide special education evaluations for children aged 2 years 8 months to 5 years 10 months. Anyone can refer a child to Early Stages. This includes parents, teachers, child care professionals, and medical providers. An evaluation at Early Stages provides parents free expert information about their child. This information can help parents support their children at home and at school.
