The Department on Disability Services (DDS), Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), is suspending in-person visits due to the increased spread of the Delta and Omicron variants. Effective December 23, 2021, DDS employees will conduct all meetings, monitoring, and/or reviews virtually (e.g., Webex, Zoom, or Teams). Providers are required to ensure technology is available for the person and staff to participate in the meeting. The suspension is expected to last until January 31, 2022.
DDS employees will conduct an in-person visit if deemed essential or an emergency requires a visit to the day program and/or residential setting. DDS office will remain open to the public. Per the Mayor’s order 2021-147, all members of the public must wear a mask indoors, which includes, but is not limited to, District Government buildings.
