Are you a young person interested in Health Policy?

AJE is excited to share this announcement from AMCHP about their conference and an opportunity for youth to attend.

The Association of Maternal Child Health Programs (AMCHP) will be hosting it’s  2025  conference here in DC.

AMCHP serves as a national resource, partner and advocate for state public health leaders who work and support state maternal and child health, improving the health of women, children, youth, families and communities.   AMCHP’s mission is to advance the health of women, children, youth, families, and communities by strengthening the governmental public health, deepening community partnerships through a health equity perspective.

The 2025 AMCHP Annual Conference “Partnering for Impact” theme ( amchp.org/amchp-conference/) embodies a collective commitment to creating a world where everyone has equitable access and outcomes, as well as the opportunity to thrive.  What an awesome reminder of why we partner to make things happen.

This year’s AMCHP 2025 is looking for youth doing meaningful work in MCH who would be interested in attending the conference.  The goal this year is to cultivate a space of belonging for young people participating in the 2025 AMCHP Conference where meaningful engagement can happen, youth connecting with other young people participating in networking sessions, youth-led plenary session,  a youth gathering,  youth opportunities with accessibility and inclusion for young people. The conference will be open for workshops, posters, skills sessions, and roundtables.  Youth will gain skills and resources, as well as the great opportunity to network with other public health/ maternal child health professionals.

In addition,  to kick off the conference there will be a “free” Youth Day on Saturday, March 15th  for every youth/ young adult interested in joining the festivities.
