[NEW] 2024-25 School Year Mid Year Application

Families who have just moved to the District or who want to apply to another public school in the 2024-25 school year have two options: (1) enroll directly at their DCPS in-boundary school (Grades K-12), or (2) submit a mid-year application to another public school (public or public charter school) by calling the My School DC Hotline at (202) 888-6336. Students will be added to schools’ waitlists. The hotline is open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. The mid-year application period extends through March 14, 2025.

Families can locate their DCPS in-boundary school by entering their home address into the School Finder and filtering by “Display in-boundary schools only.”

The mid-year application is only for the 2024-25 school year already underway; not for the upcoming school year. Families wanting to apply for school year 2025-26 can do so beginning Dec. 16, 2024. Access mid-year application HERE.

[Reminder] SY 2024-25 Immunization Requirements

Healthy bodies and minds are the foundation of academic success! Immunizations and regular visits to the doctor help protect students’ health and readiness to learn. All students must be up to date on their routine pediatric immunizations. The best place for a family to access immunizations is their primary medical provider as part of a comprehensive well-child visit where the Universal Health Certificate is completed.

Together we can ensure students are healthy and ready to learn by protecting them and our community against infectious disease and completing routine dental and well-child visits. Secure all necessary immunizations and submit the Universal Health Certificate and Oral Health Assessment to school before the first day! To learn more about health forms and immunizations required for school, please visit the OSSE website and for more information on vaccine services and access, please visit the DC Health website.
