Summer Secondary Transition Professional Learning Series
August 14 – September 22, 2023 Eligibility: Middle and high school special education leaders Delivered in partnership with OSSE, these five asynchronous foundational courses each focus on a different aspect of the secondary transition planning process. By the end of this series, participants will gain foundational knowledge and increased capacity in developing and implementing high-quality Individualized Transition Plans with secondary transition-aged students. Earn up to 15 professional learning units (PLUs) and a $500 stipend. Application deadline: August 7 |

Districtwide Secondary Transition Capacity Building Institute 2023 – Save the Date
September 29, 2023 Eligibility: D.C. secondary transition and education professionals In partnership with OSSE and the DC Special Education Cooperative, the Districtwide Secondary Transition Capacity-Building Institute will help participants increase their knowledge about secondary transition for students with disabilities, gather resources, and meet with individuals from across the District who are working diligently on improving post-school outcomes for students with disabilities. Additionally, school-level special education and college and career readiness teams will access support to develop strategic secondary transition programming plans. Registration opens soon! |
