AJE understands how important it is to have a say in the educational environment of our community, which is why we think it’s important to share the following information.
DC Public Schools is beginning the public engagement phase of an important project that will have a lasting impact on our schools, students, families, and staff.
The entire DCPS community is invited to join an upcoming listening session to share your ideas on what should be next for the district. These strategic planning listening sessions — with special convenings for students, families, and staff — will take place through the end of October.
After listening sessions conclude in late-October, we will review all input received and share a strategic plan draft for feedback during the winter and spring months. By Summer 2023, it is our goal to finalize the next Capital Commitment before the start of the 2023-2024 School Year.
Through this new strategic plan, DCPS will continue to charge relentlessly forward toward our goals of educational equity and student achievement.
