Jan 13th, 5:30pm — Black Out For Black Power Virtual TownHall:
“We recently released our newest Black Youth Agenda, which identified the most pressing issues facing Black Youth in our communities today. Here is a chance to hear more from young folk about their experiences and their demands. We encourage all allies and decision makers to attend. *Given the COVID outbreak, the townhall will be virtual. RSVP for the event here.“
Jan 15th, 12pm: #OurLivesMatter Teen Summit: “TEENS, join us to sound off about racial justice, educational justice, climate justice and community justice! We are developing toolkits for TEENS all around the world to get engaged.” Registration: https://us02web.
Jan 27th, 5:30pm — Join United We Dream DMV, Black Swan Academy, Defund MPD, ICE Out of DC, and ACLU D.C. in an informational teach-in regarding the MPD gang database. Come learn about the history of police gang labeling, suppression tactics, and gang databases in DC and other parts of the country. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of police surveillance in the District and what we can do to fight back. Spanish interpretation will be provided. Registration: https
