Developmental Monitoring and How Parents/Caregivers Can Act Early if Needed
DC’s Act Early Ambassador, Yetta Myrick, will provide an overview of the four steps of earlyidentification: (1) parent-engaged developmental monitoring, (2) developmental and autism screening,(3) referral, and (4) receipt of early intervention services for children birth to 5. Participants will learnhow to monitor their child’s development using free developmental monitoring tools.

Addressing Challenging Behavior
Early Stages reviews the social-emotional foundations for early learning to help participants understandchildren’s behaviors. We provide both universal strategies and targeted interventions to addresschallenging behavior for children under 5.
