AJE is happy to share this information from the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center and we hope it is helpful to families.
The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center will hold their Advice & Referral Clinic remotely from February 8-11. They will offer help regarding consumer, rental housing, SSI/SSDI, torts, family law, probate, tax, healthcare access, and employment law matters that are rooted in the District. They will only assist clients who are living on low incomes at the remote Clinic.
Prospective clients for the Advice & Referral Clinic can call their intake line (202-737-4700 (ext. 3294)) from Monday, Feb. 8 – Thursday, Feb. 11 from 9am-5pm. We will screen those intakes and then, when appropriate, have volunteer attorneys call clients to assist them from February 16-20. We will give referrals to those prospective clients who are not eligible for help from the Clinic.
